User Privacy vs Corporate Control

Weldon Dodd, SVP, Community, Kandji

Weldon Dodd is the evangelist and SVP of Community for Kandji, a next-generation device management solution for Apple device fleets. Prior to Kandji, Weldon worked in Engineering at Apple and taught iOS and Mac management in mixed platform environments. He earned his degree in History from UC Santa Barbara.

Weldon joined us today to dive deeper into Apple’s user privacy and security.

And that the nature of the kinds of threats that are out in the wild today have changed substantially and that requires some new tools, some new teething and new thinking to respond to them...

In this episode of Cybersecurity Insights, Weldon discusses:

  • How does Kandji integrate vulnerability management, device management, and endpoint detection & response to create protection;
  • How does the original purpose of MDM that was managing mobile devices changed in the last two years;
  • The Reason why Apple has this “unlisted apps” category, and why are these apps treated differently from apps that are reviewed by Apple and are available for purchase on the Apple store’s shelves and do they bring any security risk?
